Vestra Travel is a highly specialized travel agency based in Raleigh, North Carolina. As our company motto says, "if we haven't been there, we don't sell it". How can we provide the best service and advice if we haven't experienced it for ourselves?
On our retirement we decided to travel extensively, and initially relied on our local travel agents for advice and help. We very quickly realized that our local travel agent was primarily in business to make reservations; destination knowledge was a very poor runner up. We started Vestra Travel back in 2005 in response to our own travel needs, as well of those of our friends, relatives, and an extensive network of business contacts built up over the years. We both had careers that provided international travel to many corners of the globe so that gave us a wonderful appreciation of the world and local customs.
Our mission
To provide our clients with not just reservations, but an in depth knowledge of the specific cruise or tour, coupled with first hand destination knowledge. Our primary residence is in the USA, however, we spend so much time in Europe, that we maintain a home in England. Chris was born and raised in England so he does possess that extra element of knowledge not available to the everyday US based travel consultant.
